TEAMS@Work, Inc. is a non profit organization designed to work with people with disabilities who desire to work and/or be integrated into their communities. We also offer consulting services in the areas of transition, employment, advocacy and mentoring to families and local school systems.

Verizon Wireless GA/AL Region Network Department hosted their 1st Annual Golf Benefit, with TEAMS@Work being the charity in conjunction with the North Fulton Optimist Club at Hampton Golf Village September 30, 2006. Numerous sponsors, volunteers and participants made the event a success and raised over $39,000.00. TEAMS@Work is very grateful and appreciative for the support for our vision and mission. PRESS RELEASE: Verizon Wireless Charity Golf Tournament Raises More than $50,000 for TEAMS@Work

October 11th, 2007

TEAMS@Work. a non-profit organization dedicated to providing employment and community participation for persons with disabilities, received more than $50,000 from proceeds earned at the second annual Georgia/Alabama Verizon Wireless Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 29 at Hampton Golf Village in Cumming. Georgia. Thirty-six teams of four golfers, over 20 volunteers and 32 sponsors participated in this annual event to raise money for TEAMS@Work. Major event sponsors included Andrew Corporation. General Dynamics. IMCI Technologies. TCI Wireless, Holland & Knight LLP and Towersource. Inc.

"We assist disabled individuals in turning their hopes and dreams of a productive life into a reality," said Carl Butler, founder of TEAMS@Work. "The money raised by Verizon Wireless from this event is a huge leap forward that will help take our services to the next level."

TEAMS@Work is a charitable organization based out of Atlanta, whose mission is to provide productive and meaningful work as well as community integration opportunities to people with disabilities in a supported environment. Currently, TEAMS@Work serves Metro Atlanta and the surrounding areas.

TEAMS@Work to benefit from Verizon Wireless Charity Golf Tournament

The Verizon Wireless GA/AL Region will host its 2nd benefit golf tournament on Saturday, September 29, 2007 starting at 1:00pm at the Hampton Golf Village in Cumming, GA to benefit TEAMS@Work.

The deadline for submissions is August 31st, 2007. If you're interested, don't forget to book early because the number of participants is limited.

TEAMS@Work, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing employment and community participation for persons with disabilities, received more than $39,000 at the first annual Georgia/Alabama Network Verizon Wireless Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 30 at Hampton Golf Village in Cumming, Georgia. The event was planned in conjunction with the North Fulton Optimist Club.

"We assist disabled individuals in turning their hopes and dreams of a productive life into a reality," said Carl Butler, founder of TEAMS@Work. "The money generated from this golf tournament is a validation of our work and is a huge leap forward that will launch TEAMS@Work from the planning stage into the service stage."

With a successful first year, the Georgia/Alabama Network Verizon Wireless Charity Golf Tournament will become an annual event that will support TEAMS@Work as it continues to grow as an organization. More than 140 golfers participated in this year’s event and organizers hope for increased attendance next year.
